When bloggers begin, simply getting the site up and getting some text and images and an About Me is a formidable amount of work. Trust me, I’ve been there more than once and I completely “get” how hard it is to start a blog! So many moving parts, the technology which is always changing, adapting to new trends in the world. . .it is a HUGE accomplishment to get a blog started. So if you are about to start a blog or if you have one, but have not had a chance to adjust it for maximum success, here are some things which I see as potentially holding you back.
Not truly understanding their audience
Are you guilty of not really knowing who your market is for your blog? Do your words become mixed up as you write as you don’t know how to research your market to be able to write effectively for them? Don’t feel bad, I believe everyone starts at this juncture and once empowered with the correct tools you will be off flying with understanding how to write to your ideal audience. Overkill on their home page
Ok, so a new prospect lands on your page. What do they see? Are there a hundred moving parts coming to invade their vision like an alien invasion? (example flashing ads which take forrrevvveerrrrrr to load. . .can you click out of those pages fast enough??)
